The OPEC minister will look you in the eyes and state:
" We are at war with you infidels. Have been since
the embargo in the 1970s. You are so arrogant you
haven't even recognized it. You have more missiles,
bombs, and technology; so we are fighting with the
best weapon we have and extracting on a net basis
about $700 billion/year out of your economy. We will
destroy you! Death to the infidels!
While I am here I would like to thank you for the
following: Not developing your 250-300 year supply of oil
shale and tarsands. we know if you did this, it
would create millions of jobs for US citizens,
expand your engineering capabilities, and keep the
wealth in the US instead of sending it to us to
finance our war against you bastards.

Thanks for limiting defense dept. purchases of
oilsands from your neighbors to the north. We love
it when you confuse your allies.

Thanks for over regulating every segment of your
economy and thus delaying, by decades, the
development of alternate fuel technologies.

Thanks for limiting drilling off your coasts, in
Alaska , and anywhere there is a bug, bird, fish, or
plant that might be inconvenienced. Better that your
people suffer! Glad to see our lobbying efforts have
been so effective.

Corn based Ethanol. Praise Allah for this sham
program! Perhaps you will destroy yourself from the
inside with theses types of policies. This is a gift
from Allah, praise his name! We never would have
thought of this one! This is better than when you
pay your farmers NOT TO GROW FOOD. Have them use
more energy to create less energy, and
simultaneously drive food prices through the roof.
Thank you US Congress!!!!

And finally, we appreciate you letting us fleece
you without end. You will be glad to know we have
been accumulating shares in your banks, real estate,
and publicly held companies. We also finance a good
portion of your debt and now manipulate your
markets, currency, and economies to our benefit.

Iron Mountain, Pennsylvania

This is fascinating! I've never heard of this place until today. It is a mini-Smithsonian Institution located in Pennsylvania in an underground mine over 3 miles long with all kinds of government documents and evidence. Iron Mountain (IRM) is a public traded company on the New York Stock Exchange. Nothing I own is worth putting there.

Dear Barack Obama:

I grew to like you over the last year.

I've always thought of you as dangerously naive at best. Eloquent, gifted, genuine, yes. But dangerously naive at best.

I couldn't vote for you -- but not because of your funny name or your lunatic pastor. I couldn't vote for you because you say we should raise taxes (even on the rich, who I'm convinced already pay too much), and because you say we should abandon Iraq (which I'm convinced would be surrendering a war we must win), and because you don't respect the Second Amendment (which I'm convinced should disqualify any politician from any office).

Still, I've liked your message of unity and your ability to inspire. And, since your rise I've hunted, quite frantically, for young conservative leaders with your talent. (To my relief, I found Bobby Jindal.)

And I've long said if you beat Hillary Clinton, you will have done your country a tremendous service. But anymore I'm having a harder and harder time rooting for you.

First came your wife's comment about being proud of America for the first time -- conveniently, right after you started winning primaries. Then came your own words about your grandmother, who is just a "typical white person" -- a racist, or at least someone with racist tendencies. (I'm a "typical white person," I suppose, and I'm no racist. In fact, little makes me angrier than when it's insinuated I am.)

Sometimes people say things they don't really mean. But this is a pattern.

Last week we heard your comments about small-town America. Someone at a San Francisco fundraiser asked you why it's so hard for Democrats to win in rural areas. You said:

"You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them ... So it's not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them ... "

Is that a minority? HEY CLETUS, GET THE GUN! (If only we had a job to go to, some time in the last 25 years ... )

Here's a thought: Maybe gun rights voters know gun control laws kill people and steal freedom.

Here's a thought: Maybe some of us have moral objections to an immigration system that forces rule-followers to wait decades for legal status, and rewards border-violators with amnesty.

Here's a thought: Maybe some Americans cling to their church because their pastor is a nice person, because they find love there, because there they have something they can believe in.

Here's a thought: Maybe, just maybe, us simpletons in small towns find it harder to be bigoted than all o' y'all cityfolk. Maybe, in small towns, where everybody knows your name -- and how hard you work, if you pay your taxes, how well you treat your neighbors, how often you volunteer in the community, and whether or not you're a good parent -- people see the content of your character, so they don't give a hoot about the color of your skin. (But I grew up in a small town where about a third of the population is of a different race than me. What do I know?)

And here's my favorite thought of all: Maybe small-town folks are -- really -- capable of thinking. All on our own.

You're wrong about why small-town Americans don't vote for Democrats.

We don't vote for Democrats because we're self-reliant so we don't like the government trying to "solve" everything for us. And because you tell your rich friends in San Francisco that we're dumb. And because, each election, whichever one of you is running for president traipses all over the country telling us you have all the answers, that you're the one on our side, that you respect our way of life. But each time, a little bit here and there slips out -- and by the end of the campaign, we can tell what you think about us. And we manage to learn who you really are.

And we see you're just a horse's ass.

Freedom isn't free, someone paid. On this Memorial Day, remember those who paid with their lives.

Non-Citizens Purchasing Firearms

This past weekend, I witnessed something that is troubling to me. As I was filling out the paperwork to purchase my Kel-Tec PLR-16, in the next chair is an Asian looking guy purchasing a Beretta Tomcat pistol. The young lady assisting in his purchase told him that he needed to put his county of residence on Form 4473. He didn't know what county he lived. He said that he lived in Bellaire and someone told the young lady that it was Harris County. When he finished the top information, he didn't answer any of the questions. The young lady told him he had to answer the question but he stated that he couldn't read them. She said that she couldn't read them to him and he was going to get his friend to read them. She then told him that his friend couldn't read them to him. By now, the owner walks by and the young lady told the owner that this guy couldn't read the questions, so he said that they couldn't sell him the gun. I got back to finishing my purchase and before leaving, I noticed he wrote "NO" in all the blanks. The first question is 12a. which states, "Are you the actual buyer of the firearm(s) listed on this form? Warning: You are not the actual buyer if you are acquiring
the firearm(s) on behalf of another person. If you are not the actual buyer, the dealer cannot transfer the firearm(s) to
you. (See Important Notice 1 for actual buyer definition and examples.)

As I'm walking off, the young lady is helping this guy correct his answers. Friends, this isn't right! If you can't read English, then you don't need to buy a firearm in the United States of America. Some states restrict the purchase of firearms by non-citizens, it appears that Texas has none.

That's my rant and it still bothers me.

Back From The Houston Gun Show

Again it was another successful gun show in Houston at Reliant Park. I went on Saturday and there was a heavy crowd. As for new gun sales, it appeared slower than usual. This is probably from the slow economy right now but with a possible Obama win, people need to wake up and be prepared.

Some of the booths doing lots of business were A.J.C. Sports Shop with plenty of new guns for sale, Delta Force from Arkansas with all kinds of accessories to out rig your assault rifles, Hardcast Bullet Company offering factory and re-manufactured ammo, Ace Case Manufacturing with guns cases for all types of firearms, and Marxthings with an array of lights, knives and stun guns.

Now when I got home with my new toy, I mean weapon, the better half shook her head and said "that wasn't necessary." But my friends, every man should have a good play weapon that doubles as one heck of a defense weapon. I bought a Kel-Tec PLR-16 and two 30 round magazines, an ACE AR Assault Pistol Case, and plenty of ammunition for a fun time at the gun range this coming weekend. The only thing missing is a TEC-16 suppressor.

I'm glad I went, great bargains and as I've mentioned before, this gun show is probably one of the best in Texas.
