This Weeks News

Looking over all the news this week in the Golden Triangle, you have to laugh and cry
at some of the stories.

Starting out with the McCray trial where this is sad. A young dedicated Beaumont Police
officer, Lisa Beaulieu, is struck and killed by a drunk driver on Eastex Freeway. McCray
is sentenced to 11 years and eligible for parole after 5 1/2 years. Sad for Beaumont P.D.
and the family of Lisa.

Then on Wednesday night, Beaumont Police officers, Brad Beaulieu and Lance Tiner, shot a thug
in an overcover drug sting
that went bad. Sad enough week already for Brad with the McCray
trial on his mind. Now the victim's (get that, the bullet-proof vest wearing "victim" they call him) family is screaming
the police officers overreacted. I say "Good job." The people in the area of MLK and
Washington Blvd are worried about the crime and drug dealing in the area. Yesterday I was
at a local gun shop, a middle aged couple was looking at guns for protection. The man told
me that they lived around the corner from the MLK and Washington shooting and he needed some
type of gun to protect his family. He inquired about CHL classes for himself and his wife. Hope all works out well for them.

Now for the laughing out loud news story, Port Arthur Pro-Tem Michael Sinegal is disqualifed
from the Jefferson County Pct. 3 Commissioners race in the Democratic primary
because he can't
fill out a simple form. Is this the guy you want running Jefferson County business? Not me!
So Michael, run down to the local Walgreens and pick up a box of Klennex and get over it.
You might want to pick up a third grade reading and writing school book if you can find one.
I can't believe that a filing form is so complicated that one can't fill in the proper blanks like, what position are you running for.

Everyone have a safe week out there, plenty of crime in Jefferson County to go around.

Bob,
Philip Klein wrote, "Dude a CZPO1? Nada buddy. Glock and a PT111 for a back up. Seriously buddy. Look into it."

I trust your opinion. Which is the better gun?
